P of the C (ii)- Back with another review because some of you said, the last review was boring.

For all I said in my last review, I just got three feedbacks and out of which, one said that it was boring. So, to take revenge, I am back with another review. Actually, I had thought of two but I’ll leave it for the next post. There are some goodness left in this world, in me specially.

I am trying to recollect with whom did I watch the first part ? Umm. Never mind.
I remember walking in when the movie had already started and wondering where I had seen Keira Knightley before. I remembered ‘Bend it like Beckham’ and only then, I started enjoying the movie. Thankfully, it was not in the climax.

In the sequel, Johnny Depp is gleefully over the top. There are characters worming their way in and out of dizzying plot complications. I was caught up in a fictive dream for the entire length of the movie. The shifting agendas and propelling motivations of the characters collide in a fantastic explosion. Some of the action sequences were brazenly preposterous fun, really creative and flourishes in all aspects of movie making.

Removed two paras as I myself slept off, the second time I read it.

Hi,Arunima...well,I guess u got less comments last time, coz blogspot was not accessible at most places in India.Nice, precise review of POTR...but,a bit about the story,if any would have been welcome.heh heh...another point I noticed- ' you remembered where u'd seen Keira Knightley,at the beginning of (first part)the movie, hence, began enjoying it..does that mean,u're also a worry wart? And,would have not seen the movie consciously, until u remembered who the lady was?So true,in my case too, manyatimes.

Pirates II was such a letdown...the hype was tremendous and I guess people love it...but it was just sooooo long with a paper thin plot! And the billions of blue blistering barnacles made my stomach churn! The only saving grace was Johnny Depp (of course!) Hope Pirates III redeems itself in the eyes of die-hard fans!

It was a fun movie. Except that Symphony's sound system was not working properly.

I enjoyed it a lot :)

This was refreshing.Keep it up. I also found a dash of Bolivian Rainbow somewhere. I like the
way the recipes talk about a dash of this or that. One day when I was bored of bland food, I
had encountered the bolivian stuff. Infact whenever I am a little dull, the man (Sexual
discriminiation - Opperwala or Opperwali - don't know) above sends me stuff that light up the
day. Since no pleasure comes without pain, the suffering drops by next morning.

Anyway, I am really surprised at the efficiency of piracy. POC-II is about 10 days old here.
My kids, of course, have already seen it. I have to find time. The feedback was n't that good
either. Since I like J/Dipp's acting, I might see it. Meanwhile I am eggjactly waiting for the
recipe of egg curry ! Is it under patent ?

@AmitL: Infact, the best part of the first part was remembering Keira Knightley.:-)

@Stone: Coming.

@Khuman: I read it too and I heard the mention of the East India Company in the movie too but I missed the point they were trying to highlight.

help would be appreciated from anybody.

@nautilus: The awareness of the impossible was there but it was tucked away by the fun that was going on. And I enjoyed that. The sequences where they fought in that rolling wheel sort of a thing and J Depp with the bamboo and the fruits tugged to it were damn creative according to me.I have carried those scenes even after the movie no matter how creepier the characters were getting.

I saw the sequel today and it was funny and creative in parts but way too much melodrama. Johnny Depp is well Johnny Depp, the saving grace..and that octupus like man Davy Jones that is and the scene you mentioned Depp falling and the stick and the fruits falling in a heap around him. Really well executed.
