women!

As I said before, many of my colleagues are busy promoting me as an aunt. They are busy becoming fathers or mothers. Just a few days back, one of them became a father and the group started talking after visiting his kid and wife in the hospital. What I am going to talk, has nothing to do with babies or the process of making one but the conversation started with it.

One of the senior Managers reminisced the past and said that she delivered way after the due date. She was damn worried and had cried that she would die if something happened to her child. Her mom scolded her saying,"I brought you up with so much care for the past 26yrs and now, you are saying you want to die for a child which you haven't even seen?"

Now, I knew that her kid is 11 yrs now and she had mentioned she was 26 yrs old when she delivered her. In my mind, I went 26+11. I calculated her age. I found it funny, I found it crazy, but I did.

Later in the coffee break, I confessed to another female colleague that I calculated the Manager's age when she was narrating this story and my colleague confessed back that she did the same.

By "women!" in the title, if you are referring to the trait of women which made you and your manager gossip in office, then true true; but if you are talking about calculating age, then i am pretty sure i being a guy, would have done it first :P ("men!")

Not that this is particularly related but I felt that I should say this to you.

If you feel that this comment is inappropriate, please feel free to delete it.

We are born in this world, with needs, nessecaties, and desires.

We try to fullfill our needs, manage our nessacities and satiate our desires. From what I know of you, you are, or at least were, stuck between the nessecaties and desires of your life.

There are very few answers in this world. Mostly, it's fille with questions. Questions that not only that others ask of us but also those which we ask of ourselves.

There are no right answers for either of them.

Is this a nessecaity or a desire, is one of those questions. These are the two most confusing sections of our life and most people do not figure it out.

To be really happy, figure out which is it that you are striving to satisfy. If it is a desire only, try to satiate it but don't try to hard because they are never ending.

That's it, life really is that simple. True genius, I know, as always.

Hee hee...Arunima(Errr..Aunt Arunima?),that's human nature at it's curious best...esp when someone talks of age the way ur Manager did..even I tend to do that many a times..only by this way,did I conclude that my former ex-boss was in reality 57,not 50..haha.

Oh, everyone does this age thingy..Everyone!! [:D] With women, its more like concealing it.. Some like me, accept my true age is 40! So.......... what???:-p

Guess you were really desperate to know how old your manager is ;)

I would have done the same too... especially because our idea of how old or young someone is sometimes much different from reality and we need to find out if the 'guess' was right... you could title that 'women... and also men!' :)

That was the most natural thing to do at that moment :-)
Concealing age is not only limited to women, almost all men do the same!

hey Arunima! Long time!!!!

It's been ages since I came over to your blog (new location, new career, new girlfriend etc) And then just now I was doing a google search on one article and your blog came up in one of the results (irrelevant result though, lolz), and I was like, hey I know her!!!

Great to see you still blogging. Love this post as usual. Sheeeesh, women and their age peculiarities! :-P You must hate your manager a lot to discuss about it with your friends right? :-)

About age, I usually ask. If not possible directly, then I ask around a little discreetly :) It works.
