Kid Rock:
Livin my life in a slow hell
Different girl every night at the hotel
I ain't seen the sunshine
In three damn days
Been fuelin'up on cocaine and whiskey
Wish I had a good girl to miss me
Lord I wonder if I'll ever change my ways

I put your picture away
Sat down and cried today
I can't look at you while I'm lying next to her

Sheryl Crow:
I called you last night in the hotel
Everyone knows but they won't tell
But their half-hearted smiles tell me somethin' just ain't right
I've been waitin' on you for a long time
Fuelin' up on heartaches and cheap wine
I ain't heard from you in three damn nights
I put your picture away
I wonder where you been
I can't look at you while I'm lyin' next to him

I saw you yesterday with an old friend (Sheryl Crow)
It was the same old same how've you been? (Kid Rock)
Since you've been gone my worlds been dark and grey (Together)
You reminded me of brighter days (Kid Rock)
I hoped you were comin' home to stay (Sheryl Crow)
I was headed to church (Sheryl Crow)
I was off to drink you away
(Kid Rock)

I thought about you for a long time
Can't seem to get you off my mind
I can't understand why we're living life this way
I found your picture today
I swear I'll change my ways
I just called to say I want you to come back home
I just called to say I love you, come back home.

I have even taken the pain of coloring the lyrics, don't say you didn't like the song.

Stumbled over your blog by accident and am very glad that I did so. Just wanted to say that you have a great blog. Beautiful place to be. Your thoughts appeal to me, make reflect on things. Besides, it is beautifully written, you have a great writing potential. Good job. Keep going. Good luck.

@Aqua: we are ageing gracefully. we needn't know everything that is happening. I came to know this song only last year. :-)

@nish: I'll listen to it very soon.

@prerona: Oh I am so glad there is someone who appreciates the beuty of art. :-)

@anitha: if the guy has changed, the song must have changed too. kidding!!:-)

@akash: are you sure?

The words stirred a long dormant emotion which I thought had been exorcised from my system...all those fights, betrayals....and yet the longing for the lost one...bah! another wishful thinking...

the song that i consider as my anthem compared to the sweet, romantic, happy in the end song posted by arunima

Is it getting better
Or do you feel the same
Will it make it easier on you now
You got someone to blame
You say...

One love
One life
When it's one need
In the night
One love
We get to share it
Leaves you baby if you
Don't care for it

Did I disappoint you
Or leave a bad taste in your mouth
You act like you never had love
And you want me to go without
Well it's...

Too late
To drag the past out into the light
We're one, but we're not the same
We get to
Carry each other
Carry each other

Have you come here for forgiveness
Have you come to raise the dead
Have you come here to play Jesus
To the lepers in your head

Did I ask too much
More than a lot
You gave me nothing
Now it's all I got
We're one
But we're not the same
Well we
Hurt each other
Then we do it again
You say
Love is a temple
Love a higher law
Love is a temple
Love the higher law
You ask me to enter
But then you make me crawl
And I can't be holding on
To what you got
When all you got is hurt

One love
One blood
One life
You got to do what you should
One life
With each other
One life
But we're not the same
We get to
Carry each other
Carry each other

A very nice popular song. Why does the soul like sadness to an extent ? Why gazals have a different effect ? Why isn't just one way in life ? Why do I go to work ? Why do we love cold ice cream but hot showers ? My arunima would wonder if something is wrong if I put on a gazal cassette ?
I love that one that talks about the sailing of paper boat in childhood...
