Blow

"So in the end, was it worth it? Jesus Christ. How irreparably changed my life has become. It's always the last day of summer and I've been left out in the cold with no door to get back in. I'll grant you I've had more than my share of poignant moments. Life passes most people by while they're making grand plans for it. Throughout my lifetime, I've left pieces of my heart here and there. And now, there's almost not enough to stay alive. But I force a smile, knowing that my ambition far exceeded my talent. There are no more white horses or pretty ladies at my door. "
~ George (Johnny Depp)
The ending lines of the movie, Blow.

Of late, I find Johnny Depp to be one among my kind of handsome actors.

I used to go Keanu Reeves Keanu Reeves, George Clooney George Clooney and the Robinhood guy, Kevin Costner.

In the current list, the others are:

Joaquin Phoenix (I even like the name in his case),
Leonardo DiCaprio(I watched Titanic and Romeo & Juliet first before coming across Basketball diaries and Gilbert Grape, and thought he is a chocolate hero but, he has more meat than that)
Edward Norton (Watch Painted Veil to believe me. I am having a huge crush on him.)

I have watched almost all the movies by these actors.

Hi,Arunima-hehe!Nice set of crushes!!But,more than that,a big wow to the fact that you've watched almost all the movies of these stars! Except for James Bond movies,I can't say that I've seen all the movies of any other star!!:)Where JB is concerned, I've even watched the off-track,first 'Casino Royale'(Not the new one),which very few have seen.

@AmitL: wow, that must be something. When the James Bond movies started, I avoided them thinking they are adult movies because of the gals in the trailers. :-) I have a lot of catching up to do with JB.

That's one of the most inspiring lines made by Johnny Depp. He never fails to perform in quality movies.

Hi,
We saw Whats eating Gilbert Grape? last night, and absolutely loved it.
Wifey is still under awe of Leonardo's mind blowing performance.

After reading this post, I brought Whats eating Gilbert Grape?, The painted Veil and Basketball diaries :-) from local library.

Tonight its going to be The painted veil.

Arunima said...

@Stone: Hey, I am so glad to hear that. Do let me know how you liked the rest.

Watch movies by Clive Owen, Jude Law, Ehtan Hawkw and John Cussack - if you are keen about the new people on the block.. and there's obviously the vintage, Pacinos and De Niros to reminisce about the good old times. Btw, watch Ed Wood of Depp and American History X of Norton.. brilliant stuff...

Arunima said...

@i-swear-i-did-not-write-this: I do watch their movies and I have also watched Edd Wood and American History X of Norton. I have watched all their movies. I liked Norton in Painted Viel most that is why I quoted that movie.
