Bhaiya, ye kitna hain?

What is it with girls and shopping? It is not even about time pass at times. A few weeks back me and J (yes, it is THE J again) were shopping for her wedding. We paraded to all the shopping malls and then finally combed Commercial St including all the by-lanes searching for a certain fabric. We even took snack breaks but by evening, there was no strength left in us. Both of us were completely broke too. I had just 10 Rs left in my bag. She had another 10Rs and some coins, just enough for us to reach home. We whined about our aching feet. I don’t know who saw it first, suddenly we were standing and admiring ear-rings sold in one of the by-lanes. We pointed out the nice patterns to each other and touched them as though we were deriving some energy from them. Both of us knew we were broke, both of us knew cards wouldn’t help in such places but it came out in a chorus, ”Bhaiya, ye kitna hain?”

Aahhhhh you remind of the BAD old days when I was a kid and could not be left on my own, and was forcibly made to accompany on mom and didi's shopping trips and I hated them like _____ !

I have full sympathies with all the shopping girls of the world ;-) =))

oh between I do remember something of this sort, "It sounds womanlike and bitchy. Therefore, I like it."

This might help explain the phenomena with shopping :D *stupid grin*

Hey Arunima, my first time at your hub and feels quite homely :) You have a great blog going here.

Yes many would agree women and shopping are symbiotic and Id say women are great shoppers compared to men who either hate it or think it to be some kind of torture - a revulsion hard wired into men :P

I've lost interest in shopping. Strange that..

Yea... as if by sudden change of fate, you'd either find a carefully tucked away 100 rupee note or the shopkeeper will give them away for free...

Girls and shopping... (holds head in hands) I dont know why they make spas and that kind of stuff for relaxation..or are womens spas just shopping centres on the inside?
what I could never comprehend is that fact that some women even bargain for a price, knowing well all along that even if they got the price they're not gonna buy the stuff...
Wicked...

Women.. never understood them, never will.

Which is good, there is only so much a guy can take ;)

May be funny, but I can never get pleasure out of shopping if I buy something immediately on seeing it. I need to wait, let myself crave for it. Then I feel I have really possessed it. The only exception is when what's to be bought is unavoidably urgent; but then that's not shopping!
